“Rabbi, we know that Thou art a teacher come from God, for no man can do these miracles that Thou doest, except God be with him” (John 3:2).

This title of utmost respect, which means “Master Teacher”, was often used in reference to our Lord.  In fact, Jesus said the title should be used for no one but Him: “But be ye not called Rabbi, for one is your Master, even Christ, and all ye are brethren” (Matthew 23:8).

The window pictures Jesus teaching children, a labor of love which has been carried on by countless Bible teachers who have served in our church through the years.  In obedience to the Great Commission they have followed Jesus’ command:  “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you”  (Matthew 28:20).

This beautiful scene is framed by a grapevine, reminding us of our dependance on Jesus, Who is the source of our power and doctrine:

“I am the Vine, ye are the branches.  He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit, for without Me ye can do nothing”  (John 15:1).

This window was given in honor of Pine Forest Baptist Church Bible teachers.
