I Am Omega
The Omega window uses the last letter of the Greek alphabet to symbolize the end of time, when Jesus will return to judge all men: “And behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates of the city” (Rev. 22:12-14).
The window pictures the river of the water of life, flanked by the trees of life. Faceted jewels symbolize the twelve fruits, representing complete healing in the heavenly city, The New Jerusalem. Heaven will be a place without sorrow or pain, where every need is fulfilled.
As Jesus is the Lord of our beginnings, He is the Lord of our endings, sustaining us through every crisis and transition of life. And when life on earth comes to an end, He is there to lead us to a new beginning in eternity with Him.
This window was given in honor of Charles Hawkes.
