Fisher of Men
And Jesus said unto them, “Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men" (Mark 1:17).
Whatever our calling may be, Jesus commands us to follow Him in the most important task of all, winning disciples to faith in Him.
Those in our bus ministry have followed His command to “go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled” (Luke 14:23).
This window captures the spirit of Jesus’ commands, showing a horse-drawn cart gathering children along the road as they are led by Jesus to a house of worship. The church is based on a recreation of the actual synagogue in Capernaum where Jesus taught.
Just as Jesus came to seek and to save those who are lost, so He commands us to: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matt. 28:19).
This window was given in memory of Millard Ashmore.
