Valentine Banquet February 12, 5:00 pm

Everyone is invited to our Church-wide Valentine Banquet on Sunday, February 12, in the Gym. We will begin with a delicious dinner at 5:30 pm. Following the meal at 6:30 pm we will have a guest speaker for the service time. Make it a family event with the one you love.
Everyone will need to make a reservation for the meal. The cost of each meal is $3 per plate. You will need to sign up for the meal by Wednesday, February 8. Just call the church office or use the tear-off in the bulletins for the next two Sundays.

Christian Care

We will be collecting food and donations for the UCCC on February 12-27. How will you be able to help those who are less fortunate? Become a blessing to someone; give generously.

Baptist Men's Day

    We will celebrate Baptist Men’s Day on Sunday, February 12. We are thankful for the men who are faithful in leading their families to be in church and in many activities and ministries.
    All men are invited to be a part of the Men’s Choir during the morning worship on February 12. The group will rehearse in the Chapel at 10:40 am, immediately after Sunday Bible Study. Other men will also be involved in the worship service.
    All men are asked to prepare a dessert for Sunday evening for the Valentine Banquet. You may bring a cake, pie, cookies, or whatever. Please bring your desserts by 5 pm. Thanks!

Ladies' Night Out January 12, 6:00 pm

Women of all ages are welcome to join us at “Ladies Night Out” on Thursday, February 9^th at 6 pm. This month, We'll meet at New York Pizza and Pasta on IH-10 in Vidor. Invite a friend to come with you.

Tour the Bible Adult Bible Study

Adults of all ages are invited to “Touring the Bible” on Sundays at 5:00 pm in the Chapel. This study of the Bible will take one or two books each week to discover the author and date (as best we know it) and to learn about the main themes of the books. David Hall will be leading the study that begins with the New Testament.

The worship choir is sponsoring this year’s Easter drama entitled “Story Teller: The Resurrection Was Just the Beginning.” This biblical drama, written by Julie Prudhome, will require a large cast of actors, singers, extras, construction, and technical personnel. Please ask God how you might take part in this drama. We also need prayer partners to undergird this evangelistic effort.

All adults are invited to Criss-Cross, an adult Bible fellowship. Our next monthly meeting will be Saturday, February 18 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at a location to be announced. Child-care in the Nursery during Criss Cross is by appointment only. Please let us know by Monday, February 13 if you would like child-care provided.

Baptist Men's Breakfast

The objective of the Men's Ministry at PFBC is to lead men to an intimate relationship with Christ. Programs and events are designed to equip men to become Godly leaders in the home, church, and community. As "iron sharpens iron" (Proverbs 27:17) men sharpen one another in monthly breakfast, small groups and mentoring relationships. Through these events, men of all ages learn to serve God, the church, the community and one another. In today's culture, it is increasingly important for men to honor God with their hearts and their lives.

Dominos + other Games!

    We meet at 6:00 pm on Tuesdays in the Fellowship Room. If you don't have a partner, GET ONE and join us for a lot of fun! If you only want to play occasionally, come anyway! There'll probably be someone to play with plus there are card games going on at the same time.

    DOMINO LEAGUE 2010 / 2011 RESULTS
    The games have been played, the plays have been analyzed and the results are in: Team Wesley Jones / Ray Wallace took First Place and Team David Hall / Odessa Hodges placed second in the final standings.

    We will begin our Fall and Winter 2011/2012 season of League Dominos September 27th at 6:00 pm. We meet on Tuesdays in the Gym. If you don’t have a partner, GET ONE and join us for a lot of fun! There will be sign-up sheets in the Gym on the bulletin board past the kitchen so sign up and play.
    Dominos (not league) and other table games are ongoing so come on Tuesdays at 6:00 pm to enjoy the fun and fellowship.

Friday Fellowships

Everyone is invited to the "Friday Family Fellowship" usually held on the first Friday of each month (first available Friday), from 6-10 pm in the Gym. There are table games, basketball, movies, and refreshments. Bring your favorite snacks and the church will provide the soft drinks. Looking for a Great Book? Welcome to your Library!

Come in and browse around for a good book to read or look for some answers to Biblical questions. We have fiction & non-fiction as well as many children's books. We also have several Christian videos. Librarians LaNell Ballard and Lydia Douglas are looking forward to seeing you.
The Library is open from 9:00 - 9:55 on Sunday mornings.

   Green Newsletter

    We can now email the church newsletter to you and your family. If you would like to help the church save time, money and save the environment we encourage you to sign up to receive your church newsletter by email. All you need to do is call the church office at 786-1575 or contact us at pfbc@gtbizclass.com and share your email address with us. We can send the newsletter out to everyone in your household when you share multiple email addresses. The newsletter will continue to be mailed to the families who do not have email addresses or choose to receive a mailed copy instead an emailed copy. We hope you will enjoy this opportunity to receive information about the church including calendar events in a more timely manner.

   New Cable Broadcast Days

    We have begun a new schedule for the cable broadcast of our morning worship services. You will now be able to view PFBC services on channel 99 on Time-Warner Cable every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings at 9:00 o’clock. We will not broadcast during the evening hours. Tune us in and share the cable information with friends and family.
