Be a part of our Prayer Launch 2 on Sunday, July 13, at 6:00 pm. Again we are planning to go door to door to seek out prayer needs of the community right around PFBC. If you physically cannot visit, meet at 6:30 pm in the Gym for a Prayer & Praise service. At 7:30 we will all gather in the Gym for a Celebration Fellowship with homemade ice cream and team reports about their visits. Sign up for a team next Sunday in Bible study or worship.
Supper Club News
Our Supper Clubs have been going great! You’re meeting and getting to know one another better. During the summer, a church-wide theme of “Launching Out into the Community” can be better realized if our current Supper Clubs will seek out at least one couple that is a prospect for our church. Certainly you may seek more than one or two couples. Find a neighbor, an acquaintance, or someone you work with who is not attending church. Invite them to join your group and to come to PFBC.
Perhaps you are not in a Supper Club. Join now! Sign up on one of the lists in the foyer in the Sanctuary throughout the month of May.
Independence Day
Celebration-July 6
On Sunday, July 6, you are invited to the Almond-Bodle farm at 8863 N. Linscomb Rd. (go toward Mauriceville on Hwy. 12; turn left onto Linscomb Rd.; go to the end of the road and 8863 is on the left.) Come early for yard games and fishing if you wish. Supper will be served at 5:30 pm (bring a dessert.) Our service will be at 6:30 pm. Remain for the fellowship and for fireworks later that evening. Dress casually, please bring your lawn chairs, and invite friends to come with you.
Mommy & Me in the Park
Lauren Buckley has been instrumental in initiating “Mommy and Me - Picnic in the Park” which will be the first Tuesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. ‘till noon. A parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or other adult guardian can bring children to Pirate Pride Park which is right beside the Vidor Public Library on Bolivar, to let the kids play, and fellowship there. She asks that the parent (adult guardian) bring a lunch for both themselves and the child. This event is for anyone and will certainly be a good thing for our church. God made us to live healthy, disciplined lives. Come learn with us in First Place. We study to learn to balance our lives spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically. Join us in this Christ-centered health program. We meet Sundays at 5:00 pm in the Educational Building (Building B) downstairs in room #106 (also known as the "Brides Room") across the hall from the 5th grade classroom.
If you want to be like the woman at the well who tasted the Living Water and ran to tell her friends and neighbors, come and join us as we dive in and splash the Living Water with a devotion, fellowship, and fun designed by women for women. H2H (Heart to Heart) will meet again on our new day, Monday, July 7th, from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Adult 3 department. Mark your calendars now.
A new First Place session begins Sunday June 1. The Bible study book will be LIVING IN GRACE. If you have questions, call Joy Haney at 769-3522.
All adults are invited to Criss-Cross, a Bible study/fellowship time. If you have not joined us for Criss Cross in the past, I assure you we will make you feel welcome. Criss Cross is a “participate in any way you feel led by God” ministry. We will not put you on the spot in any way so join us for FUN, FELLOWSHIP AND PRAYER TIME, and as always, great food. In June, our meeting will be held Saturday, the 28st, at the home of Mike & Debbie Rich at our regular time , 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
Baptist Men's Breakfast
The objective of the Men's Ministry at PFBC is to lead men to an intimate relationship with Christ. Programs and events are designed to equip men to become Godly leaders in the home, church, and community. As "iron sharpens iron" (Proverbs 27:17) men sharpen one another in monthly breakfast, small groups and mentoring relationships. Through these events, men of all ages learn to serve God, the church, the community and one another. In today's culture, it is increasingly important for men to honor God with their hearts and their lives.
Dominos + other Games!
If you don’t have a partner, get one! (you could be the next champions) It’s a whole lot of fun! Also, there are other table games going on with a lot of fun and fellowship ... join us on Tuesdays at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Room!

We play open volleyball on Tuesdays and Thursdays and you're invited.
Play begins at 6:00 pm, come join the fun and exercise ... it's open to all adults!
Friday Fellowships
Everyone is invited to the "Friday Family Fellowships" usually held on the first Friday of each month , from 6-10 pm in the Gym. There are table games, basketball, movies, and refreshments. Bring your favorite snacks and the church will provide the soft drinks. To check the dates, please go to the menu bar at the top of this page, select Calendars and the month you want to check out the date.
COME AND ENJOY THE FUN AND FELLOWSHIP!

Thank You from the Baptist Student Ministry
Dear Pine Forest Church Family,
Thank You for the check we received in support of the Baptist Student Ministry at Lamar University. We appreciate your faithful financial and prayer support as we strive to reach our campus for Christ, train, and equip our students. Please let your membership know what a vital part they have in our endeavor.
Please pray for several of our students who will serve as summer/fall missionaries. Darin, our Director and 6 students will be traveling to Anchorage, Alaska on May 19-29, 2008 for a mission trip. Pray that God will keep them safe and for opportunity to share the gospel.
On May 30 the summer one session begins. Please pray for the students as they prepare for summer classes.
In His Service,
Lisa McCrary, BSM Secretary
