The Roman Road
Steps Toward Belief
(These passages are found in the Holy Bible
in the New Testament book of Romans)

Step 1 - Romans 3:23
Romans 3:10-12, As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God . All have turned away, they have together became worthless; there is no one who does good. Not even one. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. God is holy, righteous, loving, and all powerful. When you understand who God is and perceive God as He is, then you can know how far you miss the glory of God. He is the only measure of righteousness by which you will be judged. Knowing this, you see your sins in contrast to Him. We all need His mercy. Step 2 - Romans 6:23
Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our lord.
Revelation: 20:15, if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. John 3:18, Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. The good news is that you do not have to remain condemned. God loves you and offers you the gift of eternal life. You must decide whether to be content with the wages of sin or accept God's gift of eternal life. That gift comes to you through Jesus Christ. Step 3 - Romans 5:8
Romans 5:8, But
God demonstrates his own love for us in this; While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus Christ died
on a roman cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Christ's death
demonstrates God's wonderful love for every person. When Jesus
died, He took your sin upon Himself. Isaiah 53:6, We
all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. God made the ultimate
sacrifice for you by allowing His one and only Son to die so that you might
have eternal life. He is a good and gracious God. The goodness of God
causes you to want to repent of your sins. Romans 2:4,
Or do you show contempt for the riches of His kindness, tolerance and patience,
not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance? The word repent means
to turn to God and away from a life of sin. When you do that, God
forgives your sin. Acts 3:19, Repent,
then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of
refreshing may come from the Lord. Step 4 - Romans 10:9-10 and 13
Romans 10:9-10 and 13
That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus
is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you
will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are
justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
That is, you must
confess that Jesus is God, that He has authority over your life, that He
died on the cross and rose from the dead to forgive your sins. By
faith you believe and are made right with God.
Would you do that? Are you willing to
turn to God from a life-style of sin and confess Jesus as Lord of your life?
