Fifth Sunday Sing

Join us for our Fifth Sunday Sing during the evening worship service at 6:30 on Sunday, June 29. We will have several people playing and singing all types of music as we worship. Come, enjoy and remain for the church-wide fellowship afterwards in the Gym. Bring your favorite finger food or homemade ice cream…your choice. Invite a friend to join you that evening. Make it an outreach opportunity!

 Children's Music Camp

Children's Music Camp will be held this year at Pecan Acres Baptist Church. PFBC, Pecan Acres and First Baptist, Vidor will combine into one camp hosted at Pecan Acres Baptist.
Dates for the Music Camp are Monday through Friday, July 14-18. We do ask you to register before the camp begins in order that we have enough supplies. There is an "on-line" registration available by clicking HERE if you would like to use that, alternatively, you may call the church office at 786-1575 Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm to register.

Handbell
Choirs

During the first week of October Pine Forest Baptist Church received a new set of three octave, handcrafted Schulmerich Handbells. These bells were given in memory of Sandy Davis. PFBC has two Handbell choirs that practice the art of ringing. The "Heaven Sound" choir rehearses at 5:00 pm and is for ringers who can read music. The "JuBellation" choir meets at 5:45 pm and is for ringers who don't read music. Both choirs rehearse each Sunday in the Choir Room. We thank God and the families that provided these bells and pray that they will be used to bring Him glory, honor and praise.
If you can read music, we need you in a handbell choir. If you can count to four in rhythm and hold a handbell, we would like for you to play in a handbell group. Handbell Choir rehearsals are cancelled for the summer. Contact Dale Prudhome for more information.

God Bless, Dale

Grace Notes Choir

All senior adults, 50+, are invited to Grace Notes, our Senior Adult Choir. We meet in the Conference Room near the offices and we are rehearsing some challenging and fun music. Come and join the group even if the only time you sing is with the radio ... there is always great fellowship.

Music Notes
from Dale

Do you remember the story out of Exodus where Moses is standing on top of a hill watching the Israelite army fight a battle with Amalekites. Remember when he held up his hands the Israelites would overcome but when his arms grew tired and he lowered his hand the Amalekites would prevail. Aaron and Hur got the great idea of helping Moses by holding up his arms.

Thank you for being the Aarons and the Hurs in our lives. Thank you for holding mine and my families arms up over the last few months. Thank you for the calls, gifts, food, the baby sitting., and your prayers. You are a special people to me and to God. God Bless you!
